FOX 8 “Cleveland Glee” Register to Audition 2011
OFFICIAL RULES

WHO CAN ENTER
1.All entrants must be Ohio residents who are at least 18 years of age with lawful access to the internet and a valid email address. An entrant is defined as the choir representative and/or director for your group.

2.Employees of Community Television of Ohio, LLC., on behalf of its station WJW (TV) FOX 8, Ford and their affiliated companies, and the advertising and promotion agencies of each and the immediate family members of each are ineligible.

HOW TO ENTER AND HOW TO WIN
1.No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Only one entry per choir.

2.This contest will begin on 1/17/2011 and end on 3/31/2011.

3.To enter for a chance to participate in the “FOX 8 Cleveland Glee” contest, log on to www.fox8.com beginning at 12:01 AM on January 17, 2011, click on the “Contests” link, and then click on the “Cleveland Glee” graphic. Register for a chance for your singing group to audition by providing your name, address, phone number, email address, and choir category. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on February 15, 2011. On February 17, 2011, 72 entries will move on to become the semifinalist choirs. Choirs will be broken out by category based on their “choir category” answer on the official entry form. We’ll randomly select choirs as follows based on category:

•Gospel Choirs – 16 choirs randomly selected
•High School Choirs – 16 choirs randomly selected
•Children’s Choirs (Kindergarten – 8th Grade) – 8 choirs selected
•College Choirs – 8 choirs selected
•Men’s Choirs – 8 choirs selected
•Women’s Choirs – 8 choirs selected
•Variety Choirs (any category) – 8 choirs selected

4.The 72 semifinalist choirs will audition to become a finalist choir in the “FOX 8 Cleveland Glee” contest during the Cleveland Auto Show at the IX Center. Each choir will be allowed to sing up to 3 songs, not exceeding 15 minutes total for the performance. FOX 8 and Ford will have a full keyboard on-site. Any other musical accompaniment is the responsibility of the choir and their director(s). Choirs will be assigned to audition based on category:

•Gospel Choirs – Saturday, 2/26/2011 – 8 choirs, 6:30-9:30PM – registration 5:30PM
•High School Choirs – Sunday, 2/27/11 – 8 choirs, 4:30-7:30PM – registration 3:30PM
•Men’s Choirs – Monday, 2/28/11 – 8 choirs, 6:30-9:30PM – registration 5:30PM
•Women’s Choirs – Tuesday, 3/1/11 – 8 choirs, 6:30-9:30PM – registration 5:30PM
•Gospel Choirs – Wednesday, 3/2/11 – 8 choirs, 6:30-9:30PM – registration 5:30PM
•Variety Choirs – Thursday, 3/3/11 – 8 choirs, 6:30-9:30PM – registration 5:30PM
•High School Choirs – Friday, 3/4/11 – 8 choirs, 6:30-9:30PM – registration 5:30PM
•College Choirs – Saturday, 3/5/11 – 8 choirs, 6:30-9:30PM – registration 5:30PM
•Children’s Choirs (Kindergarten – 8th Grade) – Sunday, 3/6/11, 4:30-7:30PM – registration 3:30PM

NOTE: SEMIFINALIST CHOIRS WILL BE PERMITTED TO AUDITION ONLY ON THEIR ASSIGNED DATE AND TIME. Semifinalist choirs must confirm their audition date by 2/23/2011. Failure to confirm your date and time will result in elimination from the contest and an alternate choir will be chosen. If the alternate choir fails to confirm their audition date and time by 2/25/2011, no further alternate choirs will be selected for any audition and auditions will be held with the number of semifinalist choirs who are eligible and able to participate. When semifinalist choirs arrive at the audition, they will be required to complete, sign and submit a contest agreement and release before they will be permitted to participate in the audition.

5.At the conclusion of each night’s audition, one (1) finalist choir will be selected (for a total of 9 finalist choirs). Semifinalist choirs will be judged based on singing ability, showmanship, and overall performance. Auditions will be judged by a panel of two (2) judges comprised of employees of FOX 8 and / or prominent Cleveland entertainment industry professionals. The decisions of these judges will be final as to all matters.

6.All “Cleveland Glee” auditions will be videotaped. Videotaped footage may be placed on fox8.com and/or may be broadcast by WJW (TV) FOX 8 and/or their sponsors & affiliated companies. WJW (TV) FOX 8, sponsors, and affiliated companies will exclusively own all rights in and to the videotaped footage in perpetuity, and reserves the unrestricted right to use the videotaped footage in the future. Any choir featured in future campaigns by WJW (TV) FOX 8 and/or their sponsors & affiliated companies will NOT be compensated.

7.FOX 8 will post the nine (9) finalist choirs’ performances on fox8.com on or about 3/8/2011. To watch and vote for the finalist choirs’ videotaped performances, log onto driveoneohio.com and click on the “Cleveland Glee” graphic to access the view and vote page. On the view and vote page, you’ll need to register to vote by providing your name, email address, username, and password. Now you can view all nine (9) videos and vote for your favorite by using the corresponding radio button under your favorite choir. All votes must be received no later than 11:59 PM on March 31, 2011.

8.On or about April, 4, 2011, the finalist choir receiving the highest number of votes will be the announced as the “Cleveland Glee” Grand Prize Winner. If more than one finalist choir receives the highest number of votes, the tie will be broken by randomly drawing one finalist choir’s name from among the tied finalist choirs.

9.Sponsors are not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner(s) or other giveaway information by Sponsors or entrants for any reason whatsoever. Sponsors are also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the giveaway or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entries become the property of Sponsors and will not be returned. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE GIVEAWAY IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsors reserve the right to cancel the giveaway if it becomes technically corrupted.

THE PRIZES
1.All members of 72 semifinalist “Cleveland Glee” choirs win one (1) ticket to enter the Cleveland Auto Show on the day of their scheduled audition. [E.R.V.: $12.00 / ticket; provided by WJW (TV) FOX 8]. The passes will be held at the Show Office at the West Entrance, where each member of the semifinalist choir must show a photo ID to receive their ticket.

2.8 finalist choirs that do not ultimately win the Grand Prize will receive $500 for their organization (school, church, community group, etc.) [E.R.V.: $4,000; provided by WJW (TV) FOX 8]

3.One (1) “Cleveland Glee” Grand Prize Choir will be selected. The “Cleveland Glee” Grand Prize Choir will receive $5,000 for their organization. [E.R.V.: $5,000; provided by the Northeast Ohio Ford Dealers].

The “Cleveland Glee” Grand Prize Choir will also be invited to perform on “The Robin Swoboda Show” and/or the FOX 8 Morning Show in April or May of 2011 between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 AM [E.R.V.: priceless; provided by WJW (TV) FOX 8]. The “Cleveland Glee” Grand Prize Choir will not be compensated financially for his or her appearance on “The Robin Swoboda Show” or the FOX 8 Morning Show.

4.EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW, ENTRY CONSTITUTES PERMISSION TO USE WINNERS’ NAMES, HOMETOWNS, LIKENESSES AND PHOTOGRAPHS FOR ANY ADVERTISING OR PUBLICITY WITHOUT COMPENSATION, NOTICE TO, OR PERMISSION OF WINNER.

5.“Cleveland Glee” semifinalist choirs will be notified of their status by e-mail on 2/15/11. If any members of the semifinalist choir fails to complete, sign and submit the contest agreement and release upon arrival at the audition, that member will be ineligible to participate in the audition. Contest agreement and release forms will be made available at the semifinalist choirs’ designated audition.

6.“Cleveland Glee” finalist choirs will be notified of their status by email on or before March 8, 2011. The “Cleveland Glee” Grand Prize Choir will be notified by phone on or before April 5, 2011. The winning choir members must complete, sign, and return the Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release before their appearance on “The Robin Swoboda Show” and / or the FOX 8 Morning Show. If the winning members do not complete, sign, and return the Affidavit and Release, are unreachable after five (5) attempts by WJW (TV) FOX 8 personnel, or are otherwise ineligible, an alternate will be selected to be the winner. For the “Cleveland Glee” Choir Winner, the finalist choir receiving the next highest number of votes will be the winner. If the alternate choir members fail to return the Affidavit and Release timely, is unreachable after five (5) attempts, or is otherwise ineligible, another alternate will be selected as outlined herein until a winner is named.

7.Prize cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winning choir. The winning choir cannot assign or transfer prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.

8.The winning choir is responsible for all local, county, state, and federal taxes based on the estimated retail value of the prize as stated in the rules. Only one grand prize will be awarded.

ODDS OF WINNING / MISCELLANEOUS
1.Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at WJW, 5800 South Marginal Road, Cleveland, Ohio through 4/30/11 and on fox8.com through 2/15/11.

2.For winning choirs’ member names, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope after April 5, 2011, and before May 6, 2011, to “Cleveland Glee” Contest, c/o WJW (TV) FOX 8, 5800 South Marginal Road, Cleveland, Ohio, 44103.

3.By entering, participants represent that they are eligible to participate and agree (a) to be bound by these rules, (b) to release Local TV, LLC, WJW (TV) FOX 8, Ford, Fox Broadcasting Company, News America, Inc., and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize, (c) to stations’ use of entrants’ personal information as described in stations’ privacy policy located at fox8.com, and (d) that entry constitutes an assignment to sponsors of all intellectual property rights in the entry materials.
